At BASF office in Sofia we are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Digitalization Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring IT support to the local team, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, incident resolution, and providing advice on different IT-related matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures technical readiness and continuity of user workplaces through proactive support and incident resolution.
• Oversees incident and complaint management, including escalation handling and root cause analysis.
• Maintains and monitors IT asset inventory, ensuring compliance with internal security policies
• Providing effective Incident resolution and Service Request Management for complex topics related to local infrastructure and applications
• Drives and maintains digitalization initiatives with a strong emphasis on Cybersecurity, Business Continuity, and Regulatory Compliance (e.g., NIS2).
• Participates in internal audits, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analyses to support continuity planning.
• Contributes to awareness campaigns and training initiatives related to cybersecurity, AI and digital transformation topics
• Actively pursues digitalization activities focusing on increasing efficiency and business growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant field experience (or last year student)
• Experience with incident monitoring tools, incident response platforms, and asset management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and process resilience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-border and cross-functional settings.
• Good understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and Business Continuity Planning will be considered a plus
